Spend quality time away on the unique Paper Mill Island by the banks of the River Chelmer. We offer two special properties on the island as self catering accommodation: Island Lodge and Island House. They are one bed room accommodation with plenty of space to relax inside and outside. You can have your own private decking over looking the weirs and you can set off on your own private river moorings either by paddelboard or just to fish. Otherwise you can be close enough to watch and enjoy the comings and goings of river life at the Lock and nearby tea rooms. We offer a warm welcome with your esentials hamper which is compliementary with every stay. It is an ideal dog friendly holiday with plenty of walks along the river or on footpaths in the surrounding countryside of the Chelmer Valley. On site private parking is included. Paper Mill Island is also close to Danbury with food, petrol and resturants as well as the towns of Chelmsford, Hatfield Peveral and Maldon.
