About
End-of-Year School visits are great fun at Adventure Island.
These very special visits are available to all schools throughout May, June and July, Monday to Friday during term time. Each student will receive a Big Adventure Band that will give them UNLIMITED access to all our wristband rides for the whole stay!
The price for 2011 is just £12 per student with just a minimum of 10 students per booking. We do recommend to provisionally book early to avoid disappointment, and the later the visit is booked the smaller the discount.
School Visits FAQ's
Q. How do I book a school trip?
A. First you need to find out how many pupils wish to visit Adventure Island. You can then book your visit over the phone on 01702 443400, request an order form or make an online enquiry right here on the website.
Q. Can you invoice the school?
A. We can only invoice the school in advance. To qualify for our big group bookings discount, the booking needs to be made and paid for at least 10 days in advance.
Q. Are there any special concessions for teachers and adult helpers?
A. Unlike other fun parks, we don't charge individual admission. If a teacher wishes to join the children on the rides they will need a wristband. We will issue one free wristband for an adult with every 10 children booked. Any extra wristbands bought on the day will be £12 - school group price.
Q. Are you running any other school voucher schemes?
A. In the past we have run different voucher and 'money back' schemes, and although popular at the time, the feedback from schools now is for a simple, good value offer, which we believe this is.
Q. What are the minimum and maximum numbers of children we can bring?
A. 10 children is the minimum to qualify for the school groups price of £12 for an all-day Big Adventure Band. There is no maximum - the more, the merrier!
Q. Are there any meal options?
A. To avoid bringing hundreds of lunchboxes you can purchase, when booking, meal vouchers. These are £3.10 each for child meals or £4.50 for adult meals and your students can use them at the Adventure Island Food Bar and the Jungle Jive Cafe (but on quieter days the Jungle Jive Cafe may be unavailable).
Q. After I have booked will you send me my wristbands?
A. No, we will send you a confirmation letter but we cannot send wristbands in the post. We will issue you vouchers which you can collect from Customer Services when you arrive on the day. You then exchange these vouchers for wristbands at the sales offices. This way, there is no risk of wristbands being lost or mislaid.
Q. Can I add to my group on the day of our visit?
A. Yes, just call in at Customer Services and we will issue you with extra vouchers at the same discount price you have paid.
Q. Can we bring our school group to Adventure Island at any time?
A. You are welcome to visit on any weekday that we are open during term time. See our calendar for opening times.
Q. Does the wristband allow me on all the rides?
A. The Big Adventure Band allows you on all 32 rides, but does not include pay-as-you-play attractions such as Dodgems, Formula AI Karting, Adventure Golf, sideshows and arcades, etc. These are subject to an additional charge. Height restrictions apply to all attractions.
Q. How near can our coach get to the park to drop the group off?
A. There is a coach set-down point right outside the main entrance on the west side of the pier.
Q. What happens if we lose someone?
A. We offer the option of colour coded baseball caps when you book, which are £3 each. This helps to identify your group at a glance and keep track of everyone. We've operated this on our very popular Birthday Adventure parties for several years with great success. Also, if you leave your mobile number with Customer Services when you arrive, we can contact you if one of your group is lost.
Q. Do you offer training days for schools?
A. Yes, we can offer a training day to suit the needs of the students, for more information please contact the Customer Services team on 01702 443400.
