About

A fantastic place to walk, cycle, play and relax. High Woods Country Park is one of Colchester's beauty spots, providing habitats for thousands of different birds and mammals.

Waymarked paths lead you through woodland, wildflower meadows and fields. You can also download the free High Woods Nature Trail App, a 1 mile nature trail and wildlife quiz.

With 3 different play areas and a fishing lake there is plenty to keep you entertained. Picnic sites are located around the Visitor Centre or pick up a hot drink and light snack from the Visitor Centre for a well earned refreshment break.
