South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre is now open. You can find all the information about restrictions and COVID safety on the website.
The centre is in the heart of South Woodham and has always been a popular space for the local community to get involved with many different sports activities.
It is the only leisure centre in the town and boasts great facilities that can be accessed by all. These include: a 25 metre, 6-lane swimming pool with a moveable floor, a multi-use sports hall, a fully equipped gym and 3G and MUGA pitches. There is also an outdoor tennis court for your enjoyment.

Walking: SWFLC is around a five minute walk on foot from South Woodham town centre.
By car: If travelling from Chelmsford or Basildon, follow the A130. Take the A1245 exit towards Battlesbridge, Rawreth and Rettendon. Follow the A1245, then the A132 onto Burnham Road, then take Ferrers Road and follow until you reach Brickfields Road.
Car parking: There is a free car park at SWFLC, including four accessible spaces positioned adjacent to the centre. By bus You can look at First Essex to check which buses stop near SWFLC.
By train: The nearest train station to SWFLC is South Woodham Ferrers station. You can look at Trainline to check which trains stop at the station. The station is about a mile from the leisure centre.
