Centaur Thames Sailing Barge in full sail

About

Step aboard the Thames Sailing Barge Centaur, built in 1895, for a 12-hour river Blackwater Cruise. Aboard the barge you will step back in time to an age when cargos were moved by wind and tide alone. This full day sail is with up to 11 passengers on the river Blackwater. If the wind and tide is suitable, visitors may be able to go ashore during the trip at Brightlingsea.

Boarding will be 8:00, and breakfast, lunch and a light evening meal are included. Reasonable level of fitness required for going ashore.
