About

Wild Arts', Essex's very own opera company returns to Layer Marney Tower for the 2025 Essex Summer Opera Festival.

This is always a highlight of the year here at Layer Marney as we look forward to gathering friends and family, spreading picnic blankets on our beautiful lawns and enjoying some enchanting and captivating opera in the barn. Conducted by Wild Arts' Artistic director Orlando Jopling and performed by a cast of top professional singers with an orchestra drawn from the UK's finest chamber musicians, these performances are the perfect summer treat.

And this summer Wild Arts is bringing not one but two fantastic fully-staged opera productions.
