About

Georgie Meadows: Stitched Drawings' brings together 24 textile artworks that explore personal experiences of ageing and dementia. Meadows, a Monmouth-based artist and retired occupational therapist, crafts unique portraits, translating line drawings of people she knows or has cared for into stitched works.

Road Directions

From Crooked Mile Roundabout (from Harlow/Epping):

Continue down the Crooked Mile from the roundabout
At the traffic lights (restaurant on your right) turn right into Quaker Lane
Follow Quaker Lane round to the left
As the road bends to the right, take the first right into the entrance to Quaker Lane car park
Walk through to Sun Street from the car park (by the side of the white cottage) and turn right towards the library/museum

From the M25:

Exit at Junction 26
At the end of Honey Lane, turn left at the mini roundabout in to Farm Hill Road
At the lights at the end of Farm Hill Road (BP Garage on your left), turn right
Turn left at the lights (restaurant in front of you) and follow the road round into Quaker Lane
Take the first right into the entrance to Quaker Lane car park
Walk through to Sun Street from the car park – by the side of the white cottage and turn right towards the library/museum

Public Transport Directions

Train: We are a 30-minute walk from Waltham Cross Railway Station. A taxi rank is located outside the station. Buses also operate from Waltham Cross Bus Station, which is a 5-minute walk from the train station.

Bus: Bus routes to Waltham Abbey run from Epping, Loughton, Harlow and Waltham Cross. The nearest bus stop to us is on Quaker Lane, by the Quaker Lane car park. The number 13, 66, 86 and 251 buses stop at this bus stop.
