A powerful performance of J.S.Bach's St Matthew Passion with the combined choirs of Southend Choral Society and Southend Festival Chorus.The concert is conducted by Roger Humphrey with Southend Concert Orchestra led by Jo Stephens.
Guest soloists are
Ella Joy, soprano; Ruby Bak, contralto; Nathan Stubbings as the Evangelist; Colin Gilmore, tenor ; Nicholas Bacon as Christus; Gary Griffiths, bass.
Southend Boys' and Girls' choirs will also be taking part.
This is a great opportunity to hear a live performance of this dramatic, moving masterpiece and should not be missed.
