Leech Memorial Gardens view

About

This attractive site was once the pride and joy of two local sisters, called Edna and Joan Leech who lived opposite, at 14 Lodge Road. Sadly both sisters were killed in an air crash in 1971, and the garden was left to the people of Maldon in their will. It is now maintained by Maldon Town Council and a team of volunteers for the use of the town's residents. It features a wide range of native and ornamental trees and shrubs along with views towards Beeleigh Weir.

To celebrate Local History Week and the Platinum Jubilee, come along and enjoy a talk about the history of the park and tour the tranquil grounds.
