About

The Huntsman and Hounds in Althorne is holding a charity event with live music by Rob Walsh and a fancy dress competition. Tickets cost £5 in advance from the pub or on the night. There's a raffle and prizes for the best fancy dress. Money will be shared between the Air Ambulance and Dengie Lost Dogs Search and Rescue Team.

Set in lovely gardens, this magnificent 16th century thatched country pub boasts an excellent selection of well kept beers, wines and lagers. Home cooked food is available both lunchtimes and evenings 7 days a week. To the rear of the pub is a large field with facilities for hosting special events such as wedding receptions; a marquee is also available.
