To kick off Harwich Jubilee celebrations Harwich Haven Authority has organised a free fun-filled afternoon on Ha'penny Pier… enjoy live music from local favourites Fox, Wiggle and Sass, free family art activities and why not take part in the best dressed vessel competition. Visitors will also have the opportunity to get involved in a commemorate community artwork.
At 2pm, Harwich Town Crier will be joining Town Criers across the country to read a specially written proclamation signaling the lighting of the beacon later that evening. The reading will follow a civic procession by Harwich Town Council.
