Each year since 1993 a local Vehicle Club, The South Eastern Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club, has held a London to Southend classic vehicle run on the last Sunday of July.
100 plus vehicles all over 25 years old drive from Fairlop Waters in Ilford for an approx. 50 mile run travelling through the country roads, towns, and villages of Essex, culminating at Southchurch Park East for a free vehicle show from 11am until 6pm (with a free large car park) along with entertainment; music; food and ice cream stalls; and a raffle with proceeds going to the Southend Community Fund.
