Global Village: Tai Chi and Chinese Dancing

With Colchester Chinese Culture Society
Cudmore Grove Country Park, Mersea Island

Essex Cultural Diversity Project presents a programme of events to bring communities together and connect with local green spaces. Chill out with Tai Chi by the sea, and enjoy Chinese dance performance at Cudmore Grove on Mersea Island, presented by Colchester Chinese Culture Society.

Cudmore Grove Country Park is an amazing nature reserve on Mersea Island covering over 102 acres. Nestled on the coast where the Colne Estuary meets the Blackwater Estuary, you’ll find impressive views across the park and estuaries, sandy beaches and salt marsh, rolling grasslands and meadows buzzing with wildlife. There is something for everyone whatever the season at Cudmore, from coastal walks and beach to a themed kid’s play area. It’s the perfect place to paddle and picnic, birdwatch, beachcomb and let imaginations run wild.

Lata Upadhyaya’s colourful Transit van and mobile gallery will also be at the event; an ordinary white Ford Transit transformed through vibrant graphic design to reflect the rich diversity of contemporary Britain and the communities living in Essex.

Open to everyone, free, no need to book – just turn up!
