The Royal Gunpowder Mills are re-opening their doors with a bang On Sunday 17th April. On Easter Sunday and each Sunday and selected bank holiday until the end of October, 300 years of intrigue and history are ready for the adventurous and curious to explore.

Explore a rocket vault, create an air powered rocket and experience outdoor science shows about gunpowder, explosives and rockets. Take a tractor tour, or ride on the Gunpowder Railway and discover the top-secret Cold War research centre. Enjoy a gentle stroll and children's activities and learn about the site's intriguing past and military importance.
