The War to End All Wars: The Movie

About

Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome will be hosting a movie event of "The War to End All Wars", by the Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton in the Mess Hall. The animated film about the events of the First World War is accompanied by music from the band's 2022 studio album The War to End All Wars which charted around the globe and achieved No #1 positions in Germany, Austria and Sweden.

The movie will be shown by museums around the world in November, around the time of the Armistice and Remembrance Day, and it’s likely to become the largest global museum campaign of its kind. This event is suitable for those age 12 and over only, and is very restricted on numbers, so please book ASAP to avoid disapointment. This WILL NOT BE REPEATED.

Here, at Stow maries Great War Aerodrome, we will welcome you to the last remaining Great War Aerodrome functioning in the Europe to see this exciting and atmospheric film - in the place where the men of RFC and later RAF Stow Maries would have gathered to enjoy their precious time off, relaxing and enjoying their own favourite music. The original 1917 Airmens Mess. As well as enjoying the movine, maybe a snack, you will also get a chance for an after-dark guided viewing of our historic aircraft hangars. IF you book quickly enough. Hold on to your ticket for a reduced price admission to the site on any regular Friday, Saturday or Sunday (non-event day) before April 01 2024.

The film created n cooperation with the animation studio YarnHub, takes viewers on an educational journey through some of the most nail-biting WW1 stories. You can see a trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2m4rP4w-qg
