Set in a Large Green Flag Award winning Parkland, each summer the beautiful grounds of the University of Essex transform to become a home-away-from-home for summer schools, groups of friends, couples, multi-generational families, and people enjoying a break away.

Offering a great choice of rooms, with both ensuite and shared facilties available for both short and long stays, our self-catering accommodation is fantastic value for money and an ideal way to enjoy the beauty, sights and sounds of Essex. The campus is just a short drive from many  iconic visitor attractions, including Colchester Castle , Dedham and Mersea Island making it the perfect base whatever the purpose of your visit. 

We have over 1000 bedrooms available from early July until late September with pockets of availability remaining year round.  With such a wide range of accommodation available there's something to suit everyone's holiday tastes.

The 61 and 62 Firstbus routes pass straight through the campus with a bus taking you to the Colchester Town Centre every 15 minutes. 

We are also just a 15 minute walk from Colchester Hythe train Station
