About

With a wide range of menus on offer, we are proud to be able to satisfy all tastes and preferences at any time of the day, from Breakfast, to Lunch, Parlour Afternoon Tea, to Evening Dining or a simple pot of speciality tea or a fine Nespresso coffee.

Cloisters is found in the early C20th part of the building. With a definite Art Deco feel, you will find the seating so comfortable, the atmosphere so relaxing, that you will not want lunch or dinner to end!
Here, modern European dishes are given a superior British touch. Ingredients are sourced as locally as possible and include Oysters from Mersea Island, Dedham Vale beef, Dingley Dell pork and East Anglian vegetables. Accompanied by our carefully picked wines and seamless impeccable service, you will wish to return very soon. Open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner.

Two beautiful rooms, blessed with marvellous natural light and the glint of bespoke Murano chandeliers provide the setting for Afternoon Tea in the Rose Room.
This is a ceremony of indulgence and elegance, with wafer thin sandwiches, the lightest scones with rich strawberry preserve and a selection of unique exotic fancies, entremets and other creations all made by our team of specialist chefs and accompanied by our 5* service. Reservations essential and private parties catered for. Open from midday onwards.

Located on the ground floor, conveniently close to Reception, the Salon is a fine example of meticulously restored C18th elegance. With original panelling, cornicing, fireplace with working gas fire, working shutters and fine Venetian chandeliers, this is a beautiful yet practical room for private dining and meetings. Finished in high gloss bespoke inlaid maple, the table can seat a maximum of 14 people and can be reduced in size to suit smaller parties. The Salon is perfect for all private dining occasions and for board meetings and other corporate events, whatever the time of day. For further information and to book, please contact us.
