Perennials and ornamental grasses make great container plants. Whether you've got a large garden or a small balcony, containers make a useful addition by providing colour and interest throughout the seasons and, unlike annual bedding plants, they will reward you by returning year after year. You are welcome to bring along your own container(s) to plant up (bear in mind that they'll be heavy to lift when planted). We also have a small selection of containers for sale on the nursery.

The course will cover:

•Suitable containers and compost

•How to select the best perennials and ornamental grasses for containers in sun and shade

•Wildlife friendly perennials

•You will also have the opportunity to get creative and plan your own container design
