In Edwardian Folkestone; Arthur Kipps; a draper's assistant, dreams of a better world alongside his fellow apprentices. After unexpectedly inheriting a fortune that propels him into high society, it confuses everything he thought he knew.

Loved by Ann, his childhood companion and the glamorous Helen who is always on hand to improve him, Kipps struggles with his new identity, learning that if you want to have the chance of living the right life, you need to make the right choices.
