About

We offer a warm welcome to visitors coming into the Cathedral.
During the day there will be an opportunity to see the hidden gem in the Cathedral, our Knightbridge Library. Currently rarely opened to the public, the library is home to numerous historic books. The open day will offer visitors the opportunity to explore the incredible artefacts kept safe inside it. Please note: Access to the library is via a steep stone spiral staircase and may not be suitable for all visitor. This is a pre-bookable 20 minute tour, book via www.chelmsfordhod.co.uk.
We will also be doing 30 minute Cathedral introduction tours giving an insight into the building and the areas of interest. Tours will start on the hour and half hour between 10.00 – 14.00, there is no need to book for these in advance.
