About

What objects tell Chelmsford's stories?

Join us for Collecting Our Future, a co-created exhibition presented by Spark!, Chelmsford's creative youth movement, and lead artists Caitlin Hazell and Moving House Films. Supported by and in partnership with the Museum of Chelmsford and Culture Chelmsford.

The exhibition will feature a collection of miniature bronze sculptures, originally created in wax by over 150 local community members, representing important objects in their lives. There will be a video installation alongside it, comprised of short interviews with community members about the objects they have chosen. Together, these pieces explore what objects tell the story of life in Chelmsford today.

More than just an exhibition, this collaborative community project will directly influence what objects the Museum of Chelmsford collects and preserves for generations to come.

Thank you to all of the participants who made objects and contributed their stories to this exhibition!
