Essex ActivAte is the name for the Holiday Activity and Food programme across Essex, run by Active Essex on behalf of the Department for Education and Essex County Council. The programme aims to support the physical and mental wellbeing of primary and secondary school children, through engagement in a wide variety of activities.Working with a network of trusted local delivery partners, Active Essex are running FREE face to face clubs during the school holidays for children and young people who are eligible for benefits based free school meals. Essex County Council are also extending the offer to provide a small number of spaces for children and young people from working families who are struggling financially and require this additional support.
Each Essex ActivAte club will deliver fun physical and enrichment activity, and a nutritious meal, as well as support for the whole family. Alongside this we also provide an array of activities for children and families to enjoy at home, through activity packs and virtual content.
