About

"An idea for me has always been a point of departure not a destination"

Chris Seaber investigated the original seven gates of the Roman City of London. He found that they had very similar dimensions and they inspired his series GATES.

Intrigued by the view of Cant Hill, from Padstow, which resembled a barrier, the fluidity of water and sky, together with the landscape, inspired his series WALLS.

Chris used the unusual qualities of some old canvas tents given by the local Scouts, for an exhibition in France. This would be a travelling exhibition… a CARNIVAL.
