About

Join us at Hylands Estate for a festive Open Day on Sunday, 15 December, from 10am to 3pm! Celebrate the season with a day of Christmas-themed activities, live music, delicious food, and shopping opportunities in the beautiful setting of Hylands House and The Stables.

Enjoy family-friendly activities, including festive crafts where you can make your own paper snow globe or reindeer headband. Step into Father Christmas's workshop for a photo or catch him wandering through the market. Storyteller Mike Dodsworth will also bring A Christmas Carol to life with performances throughout the day in the Drawing Room.

Take a break at our craft and food markets, with indoor stalls in the Grand Pavilion showcasing unique gifts from local vendors. Outdoors, Urban Food Fest will be serving a selection of seasonal and classic street food and drinks, perfect for keeping you warm while you browse.

Explore The Stables, where you can meet our resident artists in their studios, shop handmade items, and browse the second-hand bookshop. Live music and festive tunes provided by Hot Box Live will fill the air, and you can even take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the estate (weather permitting).
