Map & Directions

Road Directions

As a heritage railway, parking is very limited at our stations so please arrive by public transport where possible. For full details of how to get to Epping Ongar Railway are available at: https://www.eorailway.co.uk/visit/getting-to-us/

Public Transport Directions

For those visiting from London, places further afield and towns to the east of the railway, the quickest and easiest method is to come via London Underground Central Line to Epping (Zone 6), then join our inclusive heritage bus service.

Between April and October, some of our beautifully restored heritage buses on route 339 run to and from Shenfield Station (for connections with Greater Anglia and Elizabeth line services) and will call at all intermediate stops by request. These buses will take you directly to our train services at Ongar or North Weald stations. If you wish to board at an intermediate stop then please indicate clearly to the driver as the bus approaches.

There are several public service bus routes from Harlow, Chelmsford and Epping to Ongar and North Weald. Timetables for all of these are on www.traveline.info. This site also has a useful FREE app for iphone and Android phones. Mobile users can text "traveline" to 84268 for the innovative "NextBus" service direct to your phone.
