About

by Lucy Kirkwood

Headgate Theatre Productions

It's 2008 in Geneva and science is on the brink of one of its greatest discoveries, the elusive Higgs boson, the fundamental particle that explains the universe. Alice, a physicist, is poised for a career-defining moment, but chaos reigns at home. As the world's largest particle accelerator powers up, the family triggers its own high-energy collisions.

Lucy Kirkwood's lightening-paced script is both funny and terrifying, a tough and tender family drama that reaches for answers to the biggest questions for all of us.

Contains adult themes and strong language. Some flashing lights.
