About

A rare opportunity to see Coward's poignant drama, which formed the basis of "Brief Encounter", one of the most beloved films of all time. Set in a railway refreshment room in the late 1930s, the play deals with the chance meeting of Alec and Laura who are married to other people. The sadness of their subsequent love affair is vividly contrasted with the boisterous and uncomplicated relationship of another couple.
