Visit Colchester Castle during a quieter, relaxed opening every Wednesday throughout the summer holidays. From 9.30am to 10.30am, sounds and visual displays are turned off to create a calmer environment for visitors with autism or other sensory sensitivities. A quiet space with sensory toys and items will be available in the Chapel, and ear defenders, visual guides and twiddlemuffs can be borrowed from reception. Suitable for ages 4+. Relaxed opening is included with Castle admission, and tickets can be purchased online or on the day.
