About

Catherine May and Andrew Allen formed their duo in 2018 to explore the close connection between voice and guitar, both historically and in contemporary music. The guitar has been used as accompaniment for the voice since the 16th century in both popular and 'art' songs. This evening's performance explores a wide range of styles and periods including songs by John Dowland, Fernando Sor, Franz Schubert, Joaquin Rodrigo and Joni Mitchell.
