This free outdoor walk is part of the Travelling Tales project and is supported by Colchester Museums and Groundwork East. Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear. The walk starts at the War Memorial on Colchester High Street, close to Castle Park and Colchester Castle. Follow signs for Colchester city centre and Castle Park. Nearby parking is available at Priory Street and Britannia car parks.
Public Transport Directions
Colchester Town station is around a 10-minute walk from Castle Park. Colchester North station is approximately 20 minutes on foot or a short bus/taxi journey. Regular bus services stop nearby on or close to the High Street.
