About

This new exhibition looks stunningly beautiful. Paintings by Deirdre Shepherd, incorporating gold and silver leaf, celebrate the ancient landscapes of the Outer Hebrides and Ireland. They are a personal response to the colours and atmosphere of these ancient places and they shimmer..

Complementing the paintings are sculptural ceramics by Nigel Earle which are influenced by geology, landscape, architecture and industrial archaeology. The natural surfaces of different clays are enhanced by use of oxides in restricted amounts of applied colour and glazing.
