About

Join us in the early morning to enjoy the waking of our wildlife areas, in this carefully led Nature Walk.

Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is an official Conservation Zone, a member of the English Woodland Scheme and hosts no fewer than 13 separate areas operated under the Natural England Entry and Higher Level Stewardship Schemes. It is home to 23 rare bird species and a wonderful range of flora and fauna.

Now, visitors have the opportunity to share a magical time, usually only reserved for the team that care for this treasured location - they can be there when the ecology wakes.

Join us for this specially planned and curated Nature Walk as the sun crests over a skyline barely changed since 1917 and as the dawn chorus resounds.

After a invigorating and pleasing spell in our wildlife areas, not usually accessible, you can repair to the 1917 Airmen's Mess café for your choice of breakfast and hot drinks.

You will need to arrive at the Museum by 0545hrs, in order to start your session with us at 0600hrs.

We regret that this event is not suitable for dogs. Numbers are restricted to control noise and disturbance.

Ticketholders can elect to stay in the Mess after the event to enjoy the museum when it opens at 10am.
