Have you ever wanted to take control of a diesel locomotive? Here is your chance!

These sessions are very popular so booking is essential. Times vary depending on the timetable we are operating we have only 10 slots per day at approximately – 10.30, 11.00, 11.30, 12.00, 13.00, 13.30, 14.00, 14.30, 15.00, 15.30.
Exact times will be given on the day, it is very important that you report to the Driver on the diesel locomotive at least 10 minutes before your session.

This is an add-on to our event days which are taking place on the dates above, for £15 you can drive one of our diesel locomotives along the demonstration line at the Museum guided by one of our trained volunteers.

Please note you will also need an admission ticket for the corresponding date to allow you entry into the site, which will also give you unlimited rides on the train in operation that day, including the miniature railway.
