As part of First Thursdays Festival, enjoy a relaxed opening at Colchester Castle from 3pm to 5pm. Designed for visitors with autism or sensory sensitivities, this special session offers a calmer museum experience with sounds and visual displays turned off to reduce sensory stimulation. A quiet space with sensory toys and items will be available in the Chapel, while ear defenders, visual guides and twiddlemuffs can be borrowed from reception. Suitable for ages 4+, this supportive session is included with Castle admission. No additional booking is required.
