About

Do you love animals, trees and making things? Is Hallowe'en your favourite time of year? Then you might just be a woodland witch! Deep in the woods, amongst the oaks and owls, there is a secret school where promising young people learn the magic of the forest…

This Hallowe'en half-term, drop your child off to learn everything a young magic-maker needs in the mysterious Dragon Wood, deep in the heart of Bures. The Woodland Witch Training Camp is packed with crafts, adventures and fun to get you in the Hallowe'en spirit.

Woodland witches are a special kind. Dressed in green hats and cloaks, they are often found chatting to friendly trees and deer, creating potions from spidersilk and inviting hedgehogs and squirrels for tea in their forest homes.

Head Witch Esmerelda and Hedge-witch Grizelda will be on hand to guide young trainees in the arts of forest magic, along with visiting potions expert Professor Boom. You'll collect everything you need to be a true woodland witch:

Make your own forest witch hat to wear and keep.
Choose and build your wand (or does it choose you)? with unique wood and core for your own special magic
Mix a magic potion and turn mud into pure water
Create and decorate a woodland witch's den that's as spooky, quirky, fun or colourful as you are!
At the end of the day, you'll be presented with a witching certificate to show that you're now a fully-fledged enchanter of the forest.

Witches aged 8 to 12 are welcome. You'll need to bring sensible outdoor shoes, a coat, a packed lunch and your best cackle!

If you're happy to have photos taken of your child, we can also send you a 'graduation' picture of them in their Witch School cloak and hat inside their very own woodland den! Just type "I'd like photos" in the notes on the Cart page when you book. We'll send you a consent form by email, which you'll need to sign. No extra charge for photos.

Advance booking essential.
