About

No musician more embodies the dramatic transformation in the British jazz scene over the past thirty years than saxophonist Courtney Pine.

His House of Legends revisits a very special project. It's a celebration of the influence on – and contributions to – the UK from the many and varied people of the Caribbean. Featuring musicians from the region, and from Africa and Europe, it's a unique cultural meeting point and musical exchange. It's steeped in tradition - an exhilarating mix of Merengue, Ska, Mento and Calypso - but refracted through the lens of this charismatic and trailblazing UK-born jazz musician with proud Afro-Caribbean roots.
