About

Whether you're coming to see her for the first time or are one of her legion of devoted fans, Eddi Reader has an effortless knack of drawing us close to her and the music.

She's familiar to most from her days fronting Fairground Attraction, whose No.1 single Perfect and its parent album First of A Million Kisses have been propelled back into the limelight by the band's recent reunion. Her renditions of Robert Burns are legendary. But there is much much more to her than perky pop and the songs of her homeland. Every performance assimilates a wealth of influences from folk to rock and the blues. Her rare blend of openness, versatility, meltingly true vocals and towering romanticism bring joyous life to all forms of song. Spliced with razor-sharp patter, it's little wonder that Reader is one of popular music's most thrilling and affecting live performers.
