A series of village events are being held to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in Steeple Bumpstead.

Thursday, 2 June - Vintage Car Parade and street celebration – Church Street from 4pm to 9pm.

Wheelbarrow racing, Children’s Drawing Exhibition, Thaxted Morris Dancers, Live music and a BBQ hosted by The Red Lion Pub.

Thursday, 2 June - A parade will take place from Church Street, leaving at 9.30pm and led by the Steeple Bumpstead Scouts to the Platinum Beacon site.

There will be a 70 Barrage Salute ahead of the beacon lighting.

Friday, 3 June – St Marys Church are hosting a breakfast and Service of Thanksgiving while Steeple Bumpstead Congregational Church are hosting afternoon tea.

Saturday, 4 June – Official Scarecrow Trail, morning tea on the front lawns/gardens.

Sunday, 5 June 2022 – Steeple Bumpstead Big Platinum Lunch/Picnic on the Camping Close from 1.30pm to 10pm.

Household picnics, children’s races, tug of war, stalls, ice cream, bar (The Fox & Hounds Pub) plus presentation of awards and St Marys Church yeas and cake competition and live music.

Sunday, 5 June - Fun Dog Show at Camping Close from 2.30pm with 10 fun classes to enter on the day, including Best Junior Handler, Prettiest Bitch and Handsomest Dog. Rosettes for 1st to 5th place. See https://www.facebook.com/groups/1732253507125545
