About

Join us for this free online lecture exploring the connection between Warner & Sons and royal fabrics, and how the company helped shape the style of royal events for over 100 years.
Warner & Sons began supplying fine furnishing fabric to royalty in 1887 when Queen Victoria placed an order for 39 pairs of curtains, 78 chair seats and backs and 23 sofa seats for a corridor at Windsor Castle.

This was only the beginning for Warner & Sons. Dominating the fine furnishing silk market in the late-nineteenth century, Warner & Sons worked on royal commissions for numerous special royal events, including weddings and funerals, and helped decorate many palaces.

Warner & Sons fabrics have been used at every coronation ceremony since 1902. Join us on this historical survey exploring the impact
Warner & Sons had on royal style and see how textiles created for royalty are still in usage today.
