A concert from superstar saxophonist Jess Gillam and her like-minded musical friends is always a special occasion.
Theirs is a bold, big-hearted approach to music from around the globe and in all styles. Whether in a baroque concerto, jazz standard, traditional song or new music written and arranged especially for them, the ensemble radiate a joy and mutual understanding in their music-making. Scattering some festive favourites and surprises into the mix, their special Christmas concerts are a joyous, freewheeling playlist, performed with warmth, rapport, and dazzling musicianship. Prior to the concert Jess and members of the ensemble will be spending three days working with students from Saffron Walden County High School.
