About

The Gardens have lots of wild spaces alongside the formality of the Peto Italian Garden and the historic walled kitchen garden. And so the Gardens are frequented by lots of wildlife - birds, bees, dragonflies, bats and unfortunately also deer, which love to eat tender young trees! There is lots for visitors to see and get involved with on Nature Day - with a local naturalist leading bug hunts and bird walks; Essex Bat Group and other exhibitors.
