About

Join garden designer Jeremy Allen for a private tour of The Old Vicarage garden in the heart of Dedham Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Over the past 18 years, Jeremy and his wife Beverly have transformed a once-overgrown plot into a beautifully structured three and a half-acre garden surrounding their historic 16th-century former vicarage.

Designed with a clear sense of structure and form, the garden integrates seamlessly into the natural contours of its dell setting. Mature trees provide a dramatic backdrop for a layout that includes water features, an orchard and a productive kitchen garden. Carefully clipped hedges and topiary divide the space into a series of intriguing garden rooms.

In high summer, the garden bursts with perennial flowers and ornamental grasses planted in a richly textured, painterly style that reflects Jeremy's design expertise.

Includes arrival refreshments and a two-course lunch at a nearby eatery.
