About

Family Friendly Routes (Aged 10+) - Ridgewell

This route is largely flat and on quiet roads, suitable for families with children over 10 years old.  The route include lots for children to see and do and for extra fun there is a quiz on the map as you cycle round.

This route starts and ends in the small, picturesque village of Ridgewell.  At the centre of the village, sits a large, tree-shaded green, surrounded by many listed buildings.  The green is bisected by the Colchester to Cambridge road that dates back to Roman times.  A large proportion of the village is in a conservation area and in recent years the village has changed very little.
